The program is built around eight subject groups - Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Science, Math, Arts, Physical and Health Education, and Design - while also emphasizing skills like communication, collaboration, research, and self-management.

IB Mission

The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end, the organization works with schools, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

What is the IB Middle Years Programme?

The Middle Years Program (MYP) is an academic framework designed for students aged 11-16 from 7th through 10th grade that focuses on developing both subject knowledge and real world skills. The program is built around eight subject groups - Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Science, Math, Arts, Physical and Health Education, and Design - while also emphasizing skills like communication, collaboration, research, and self-management. This structure helps prepare students for success in future academic programs, including the IB Diploma Program of the IB Career Program.

A key feature of the MYP is its focus on inquiry-based learning and personal growth. Students are encouraged to ask questions, investigate topics in depth, and reflect on their learning process. Assessment in the MYP looks beyond just tests and quizzes; it evaluates how well students can demonstrate understanding, think critically, and apply knowledge in creative ways. The program also includes service and community engagement components, which help students become responsible global citizens.
