GHS’s Joey Badalamenti Qualifies for National Speech and Debate Tournament

Congratulations to Gilbert High’s Joey Badalamenti for being honored with a Superintendent Recognition at the May 2025 GPS Board meeting. 

Joey was honored for qualifying to compete at the National Speech and Debate Tournament in United States Extemporaneous Speaking after placing 6th at the Arizona District Tournament at Brophy College Prep in April. A big congratulations from GPS on this exceptional achievement! Your dedication and passion for Speech and Debate has not gone unnoticed and shines brightly through this accomplishment. 

Joey will join the Arizona delegation to compete in Des Moines, IA in June and continue his education at Harvard University in the Fall.
