Renovations Power Up Real-World Learning inside Our FFA Lab

Gilbert High School has proudly stood for generations, adapting alongside our community to meet the needs of our students. We are proud of our tradition of excellence and remain committed to offering students modern academic opportunities that prepare them for the future. As a result, each year we make updates to parts of our campus to maintain a learning environment that ensures students are safe and prepared for life after high school.

This summer, exciting updates are happening in our FFA Meat Processing Lab. As one of only four high school facilities of its kind in the country, our agricultural processing lab offers a pathway for students preparing for careers in animal science and food production. To preserve this unique hands-on learning facility, the Meat Processing Lab is getting some important updates.

Right now, the facility is getting new electrical wiring that allows for increased power while improving safety. When complete, more outlets across the lab will give students increased access to workable space so they can gain experience using industry-standard tools.

Updated wiring also ensures the power is reliable, which helps keep our coolers running efficiently throughout the year. The Meat Processing Lab is also getting a new display case and viewing window so others can see their work firsthand.

Investing in these tools ensures our campus remains a place where Tigers can safely learn by doing. We look forward to seeing our students back in this updated space as they build the skills they need to thrive after graduation.
