GHS Pom Team Wins at Tournament, Recognized at GPS Governing Board

Gilbert High School's Pom team was recognized at the GPS Governing Board Meeting on April 28, 2026, for championship performances in a national tournament.

Led by Coach Dr. Whitley, the Gilbert High Pom team competed at the WCC Tournament of Champions, earning 1st place in the Small Contemporary category and 2nd place in Small Pom. Student-athlete Ta'lazsha Lee won the 1st Place Championship in the Contemporary Solo category. Both the Small Contemporary team and Ta'lazsha Lee were designated Double Crown Champions, an honor reserved for those who place first at two separate WCC competitions.
