I started my teaching career in 2016 in Iowa teaching middle school math and science prior to moving to Arizona in 2018. I spent 5 years of my teaching career working at Chandler High School teaching mathematics. In 2020 I started my administrative career when I took on the role of International Baccalaureate - Middle Years Program Coordinator along with taking on leadership roles on my campus. I was blessed to join the Gilbert Public Schools family in 2023 as a math teacher for Campo Verde High School.

I currently serve as the head of school for the Gilbert Accelerated Middle School (GAMS) and the International Baccalaureate program at Gilbert High School. In addition to my role as the GAMS and IB head of school. I am passionate about creating educational opportunities for all students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a safe, supportive, and rigorous school environment.

Gilbert Accelerated Middle School at Gilbert High School is a unique opportunity for 7th and 8th-grade students to be challenged academically in a supportive environment built on a love of learning that prepares students for a successful future in high school and beyond. Students are immersed in honors and accelerated curriculum with access to the resources of a comprehensive high school, while in a supportive cohort of other 7th and 8th-grade students. The learning experience is both academically rigorous and well-rounded, based on the application of knowledge and reflection, project-based learning, critical thinking, cross-curricular portfolio building, and student-centered learning approaches. Students gain access to the instructional expertise of high school/college-level faculty and are encouraged and supported to develop strong leadership and study skills, preparing them for a successful future in high school and beyond.
