School Council

The Gilbert High School Council advises the Gilbert High School administration on strategies that promote the school’s mission and goals. The focus will be on budget priorities and improvement goals. Our School Council followed the guidance found in GPS Governing Board policies CFD: School-Based Management when developing the Council By-laws. The Council is chaired by the Principal, Mr. Stroud, and staffed with volunteer teachers, a noncertified employee, parents, students, and a community member. Following the School Council meetings, we will go directly into the Parent Advisory Meeting from 6:00-7:00. The focus of these meetings is on sports, arts, and school events, and District/school program updates provided by Mr. Stroud. Parents are encouraged to ask questions and participate. The School Council and Parent Advisory meetings are open meetings. Everyone is invited to attend. The GHS School Council meetings will be held from 5:00-6:00 pm.  Amazingly yummy treats are provided by the GHS Culinary Club during both meetings. We hope to see you at these informative evening events.
