Gilbert High senior students receive 10.5 million in scholarships and awards

(Gilbert, Arizona) -- Students at Gilbert High School have 10 million reasons to be proud of their educational achievements.

Gilbert held its Honors Awards Ceremony Thursday, where nearly 180 students received a total of 10.5 million in scholarships and awards.

Students received scholarships from Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and University of Arizona.

Memorial awards included the GEF-Charlee Hawkins Memorial Scholarship, the Manuel Lerma Memorial Scholarship, and the Otto and Edna Neely Foundation Scholarship, among others.

Students Kristina Sin and Brielle Dotson were named 2017 Valedictorian and Salutatorian, respectively.

Seniors who received the scholarships and awards are part of Gilbert’s 100th graduating class.
