ACT vs. SAT: What is the difference?

The ACT is an achievement test, measuring what the student has learned in school. The SAT is an aptitude test, testing reasoning and verbal abilities.

The ACT has 5 components including 4 multiple choices sections of English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science, and an optional 5th Writing test. Visit here to see a more thorough breakdown including the amount to time allotted for each section.
