Gilbert Special Education Parent Council
Gilbert Special Education Parent Council
The mission of the Special Education Parent Council is to help parents be effective advocates for your children.  We support you by responding to your information needs, providing training and facilitating communication between the district, the schools, and families regarding special education issues.  In addition, we maintain the Gilbert Special Education Resource Library and encouraging the growth of the Gilbert special education community.
My name is Jane Rucker and with Jo Ellen Guthrie, we are the Special Education Parent Council representatives for Gilbert High School. We will gladly answer your questions about the special education process, a particular disability or your role in supporting your child.  All members of the Council are volunteers and there is no cost for the support we provide to you.
Watch for a schedule of parent training in our school's newsletter, flyers in your child's backpack, or online on our Facebook page.
