Turnitin Originality Checking allows for educators to check students’ work for improper citation or potential plagiarism by comparing it against continuously updated databases. Originality Reports provided instructors with the opportunity to teacher their students proper citation methods as well as to safeguard their students’ academic integrity.

Turnitin serves over 1 million active instructors and 20 million licensed students.

Turnitin uses three databases for content matching:
          • 20+ billion web pages crawled
          • 220 + million archived student pages
          • 120 + million articles form 90,000+ journals, periodicals & books.
