PERFORMING ARTS
The Performing Arts program at Gilbert High School seeks to encourage the broadest possible range of creative options for its students. We have a solid tradition of high quality education and strive for excellence in every endeavor. We offer a variety of ensembles that study classical repetoire, world music, and jazz and contemporary music. The Drama Department offers a range of classes that study classical theatre, contemporary styles, and technical aspects of production. The Performing Arts Department at Gilbert High is a place where excellence is the expectation. It has recieved many awards, national and regional, for their achievements.

Clubs:
 
Band Club
The purpose of the Band Club is to promote music education and performance in our community.
             
Choir Club
The Choir Club consists of all members of the choral program at GHS. The Choir Council is elected by the students and works to lead the club and program with outside activities, fundraising, community service projects, and general assistance. Members of the Choir Club are involved in the GHS musical production, school functions, regional and state music events, and community happenings.
Prerequisite: Membership in one of the GHS Choirs

Drama Club
The Drama Club is for anyone who is interested in learning about, experiencing, and creating theatre! Drama Club members participate in GHS main stage play productions and musical productions, field trips, workshops, and student-directed productions throughout the school year to promote interest and excellence in theatre. We cover all aspects of theatre from acting and directing to set design and special effects make-up and everything in-between. There is something for everyone!

There are no prerequisites except a desire to be involved with theater!

Orchestra Club
The Orchestra Club provides logistical and financial support for activities related to the Gilbert High School Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Strings, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Orchestra and Golden Strings.
Prerequisites: Students must be a member of an orchestra at GHS to join.
Meeting Times: Daily in Room #8401
